which should I get first for a 98 V6?

How much would each cost?
and
How much would each increase my performance?

thanks.

either one will give you 5-20 hp (assuming you mean a muffler by "exhaust") and will run you $10-$300.

you can make a sweet ass intake for your bodystyle camaro that will be way better than anything you could waste your money on. so if i were you i'd buy a flowmaster or a borla or a something muffler and then ill tell you how to make an intake that will harness the two big monster air scoops on the front of your car.

If I ever get the car and decide to boost it up a few HPs I'll ask you, thanks.

well if i was you i would go with borla catback exhaust it may be expensive but you will love it or with intake get the K&N highflow intake it will get alot of horsepower like 22 or sumthin for like 250$ so you can't beat that deal that is cheap for that many horses

If anything, it will improve your mileage. You are making your engine more efficient without touching anything internal.

LT1MAN, is it a big complicated thing? Or simple? If it's simple, I'd like to hear about it.

Okay, so you've got a 98 V6. If your asking which one (exhaust or intake) will give you more performance gains. Then I'd definately say exhaust. But it's best to upgrade both rather than just one of the other.

My recommendations...

Intake: I went with the SLP cold air intake. And I love it.

Headers: Ceramic coated Pacesetter's

Catylic Converter: If it's not required in your state, then ditch it for a straight pipe. If not, then I'd go with a Carsound cat.

Cat-Back Exhaust: I'm a big Borla fan. Got mine for $550 off eBay. You can find them pretty cheap on there. If your on a tight budget, then I'd recommend Magnaflow.

You can find all ths stuff you'll need here at Full Throttle Performance (http://www.ftpp.net). I won't lie to you.. It's gonna cost you a pretty penny if you decide to upgrade all of this stuff. But it should be fairly cheap if you do it one step at a time.
