My transmission on 99 taco 4x4 after coming to stop jumps into neutral when pulling out quickly. Anyone know what's causing this to happen?

Is it a manual or automatic transmission?

Has to be a manual...

I'd check motor and transmission mounts first. If those are ok,I'd say its an internal problem with the transmission, like a broken or worn synchro.

I've got an automatic trans. It doesn't happen all the time only when I pull out quickly. It does pull out under slow acceleration normally(no slip).
What do you mean by a bent fork, I'm a newbie when it comes to tranny's?

LOL - Automatic? Very interesting...
Forget about the bent fork...It's what slides the syncros in a manual transmission.
