open injector circuit

Well my car sounded bad yesterday, so I rented a scan tool from Autozone ($180 deposit...those bastards) My results: Error p0204 "Injector circuit open cylinder 4" So yeah, my #4 injector is apparently staying open and flooding the cylinder. GREAT! :banghead:
I have no idea where the circuit is...and what the hell I'm supposed to do to it. Anybody have a clue?

OK, so from some other posting and researching, it is apparently either a bad injector OR the connection is being grounded out somewhere along the wiring harness. Of course I don't have spare injectors lying around to swap in, and I don't have a multimeter to test everything. And that is assuming I even knew where all to test. I'm seriously starting to believe my car is conspiring against me.

you could always move the injectors around and see if the open circuit changes with the injector. That would narrow it down to the wiring or the injector. If it is the wiring then just go buy a miltimeter, they are only like $10-20.

Good idea...I swear sometimes it amazes me how easily I can overlook the simplest solution. Well looks like I have my morning planned out for tomorrow.

Luckily enough my mom's alternator decided to call it quits just a little while ago, and no place is open Sunday evenings to get a new one. So we are carless for the night, and she has to take a cab to work tomorrow.

All I want is my car to run right for 3 consecutive days...I really don't think I'm asking too much.
