dumb turbo question

i get a whirring noise from the t25 at high levels of boost on my stcok 95 eclipse. but no shaft play at all on the compressor wheel. is that relative to the turbine wheel or could it be loose anyway? also a little blue exhaust smoke after she warms up.

It's hard to say what's wrong with a turbo without taking it apart. If it still boosts fine, leave it be. But you might want to consider picking up a backup T25 or an upgrade and install parts for when it does blow. The blue smoke could be an oil seal starting to leak.
