Headlight issue

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer, and I have done a HID retrofit on it. However as you all know, when you turn on the high beams, the low beams switch off, and that is very bad for the HID components. I was told that you could put a diode somewhere within the wiring to prevent the low beams from turning off. Where can I get this diode, which diode do I get, and where do I then put the diode? If it matters I am running my HID's off of a homemade wiring relay. Thanks!

Huge stress on the electrical system.

Well my low beams are HID's running off of a relay connected directly to the battery, and also they only use 35w as opposed to the normal 55w 9006 Halogens. It is absolutely terrible to switch the HID's on and off when I need to use the high-beams. Do you know how to wire this up?

Lookie here and follow the instructions to have quadbeams or if you wish to bypass your DRL or AHL systems. Notice not all years are the same.
