No two hitch with S/C?

Their web site does not say anything about not being able to get a tow hitch with the S/C option and it let me build the car with it. Also the dealer asked if I wanted a tow hitch...

According to the www.nissandriven.com website there is not a hitch available for the S/C.

I just took delivery of a 2002 SE S/C a few weeks back, and I ordered it with and was delivered with a Nissan hitch. It all seems to bolt on fine.

I don't understand why anything would be different in a S/C to prevent adding a hitch, unless the spare tire causes some difference (are they larger on the S/C?).

Neither do I but it was what I have read and what the nissan driven site says. If I am wrong then great. I was just passing on info from a source on the internet that could be checked.:flash:

Buy one for your applicable year model and I am sure you will find you can just bolt the sucker on...
Get under the truck and check out the back etc. There should be somewhere to plug into the electrical harness and just slide a hitch in. I dont think there is anything different about the back end of the SC.

Take a look at your truck and then swing by the dealer and have a look at the back of a regular SE. Should be the same. Even if the wheels are bigger a spare should fit underneath. Mine does easily...

My X didnt come with anything for towing so I bought a (Nissan) hitch and slapped it in. Easy as pie... I dont think it would be much different on the SC.

Nissan probably just failed to note it because it is pretty much the same as the SE (Except for the Supercharger of course).

Thats what I reckon anyway...

The exhaust pipe is larger and exits at a different angle.

I hadn't heard that one. With the normally aspirated '03 getting another 10hp, I wonder how much that SC added in the end? I can't imagine paying $1.85/gal (at least that's what it's going for up here in WallyWorld).

Interesting... I had a quick look this morning at one and it looks like it still would fit... Of course I dont have an SC so I dunno for sure....
Seems a damn stupid thing for such a small performance gain...

.....exhaust pipes do bend....:D

Well I just put on an aftermarket one and it was a tight squeeze near the tailpipe, but then I've already bent it back on a rock(hehe), but it fits fine and no rattle.
