He has a non PI 4.6l. If he wants to see power to any desired level he is gonna have to do a PI head swap and go from there.

You wont find much thats quick fast and in a hurry to do that will net you any worthy gains. Especially with a shoe horned 4.6. PI swap, full exaust, gears, intake, fuel, timing..the list goes on. Spend some money, spend some time...or buy an 03-04 cobra.

well u can also buy a pi intake that has been changed to work on non pi heads add like 25 rwhp or more cant remember but read a article on it and also read that if u get a pi intake (that designed to be on nonpi heads) and the cams that u can add 35 rwhp.
u can also buy gears doesnt add hp but makes u accel quicker and i know our 2.73 gears blow!!!!! and that getting new ones 3.73 3.55 or 4.10 will really change ur car u will be susprised

Cold air kit, exhaust, and take it to the dyno for a tune. That's probably the easiest thing/s you can do for more power. Next easiest would be the gears, and i would suggest taking it to a shop for that.

yeah the above said is good. Id go Some 4:10s especially if you run an auto and if so then a decent stall too. PI intake will make you the single most gains of the heads or cams alone. If you do the PI swap remember that youll have to have an adapter from livernois(which i thinks to high) or do the gasket trick...but in that you risk messing with leaks.
iI dont think a Dyno tune will do much of anything especially running a near stock setup....
and if that doesnt do you you can always go kenne bell blowzillla hehe

WTF??? $649.99 for an intake and a couple of adapter plates???? These guys smoking CRACK or what? And where do they get off trying to say that the PI intake will not clear a stock hood? What kind of "modifications" could they possibly make to that intake that would run the cost up that radically??? I'd sure like to make the PI intake switch on my 96 GT, but that's crazy!!!! I would think all one would need would be the PI intake and a couple of adapter plates between the intake and the heads....shouldn't raise the intake up so much that it won't clear the stock hood and strut tower brace! Give me a Break!

You don't need any adapter plates. You can use nPI gaskets and RTV the air ports, or use PI gaskets and RTV the coolant ports. For the intake new and the hardware I needed I paid around $230
