2000 Ford Explorer Drivers Side Door Lock sticking

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer. The power door locks on the drivers door sticks. I can not unlock it from the outside with the key. Sometimes the unlock switch on the inside works and sometimes it doesn't. What can I do to fix it. All of the other door locks work great, except this one door.

Thank you

Spray the heck out of the door latch with WD-40 and open and close the door multiple times. It's got lots of dirt up there.

The first thing I did when this happened to my doors was to use a power air spray like the ones you use on the keyboard for the putter. Then I used some electrical contact cleaner. I tried the WD-40 once and it actually got worse and made the locks go haywire.

I tried a spray lithium I cannot remember the name of the top of my head but it was in a green can with a car and a boat on it, form Auto-zone no problem since. Becareful it is really greasy.

I had the same problem, but when I put a flash light to it I saw that one of the small springs that lifted the knob had broke...I had to rehook the spring pull it and put another bend on the bottom to relatch..hope that didn't happen to you.. Even after fixing it it gets stuck..I'm groing to try some of that spray as well to lube it up since WD-40 didn't do the trick

yea my 01 sport did the same thing...I figured it out ..it was the door lock cylinder......I traded it in so I didnt get a chance to fix it.

just take ur door panel off and its in the bottom left corner of ur door..
