New stereo.. no sound

Infinity system in a 04 dodge. Tried to replace the factory stereo with a Kenwood and I get power but I get no sound. Just pulled this out of my old truck so I know it works. I have read that there is a factory infinity amp (in the passenger kick panel?) and that if you replace the factory head unit that you must bypass this. So my question to you is.. Is this true? And if so is there an easy way to bypass this amp without re-wiring the truck (I would think the same harness is used whether it is an infinity sound system or not)? I plan on keeping the factory speakers for now so I see no reason not to use the factory wiring.

Thanks in advance..

Travis

replying to my own thread.. now you know that's bad!!.. I just read that you have to hook up the remote wire to turn on the amp.. by default I never hook the stereo remote wire up to the factory wiring because the factory equipment usually doesn't use it (makes me look dumb huh!).. so I am going to try and that and report back.. if any one can confirm or deny I would appreciate it.

As with any amp or cd changer you have to have a remote on wire. Make sure that you tie it in with the acc wire and not another on, they won't usually work.

Yeah.. I just didn't realize that there was a factory amp in the truck.
