I have a 99 silverado z71 and when I get up around 55 mph I get this fluttering wind noise up around the top of the windshield or top of the cab, it's hard to tell exactly where its coming from. It only does it when its windy outside and your hitting the wind from a certain direction, its enough to drive a guy crazy. Its always windy in Tracy, ca. Anyone else experience this? Heard of any fixes. The weatherstripping looks fine I don't see anything obvious.

Have you looked at the rubber strip that covers the hood hinges back of the hood and in the cowl? I've always wondered if that is the culprit of that noise.... :dunno:

check that black trim around your windshield; it's held on with doublesided tape. When I recently took my truck in to the dealer to see if the could correct my wind noise problem, they said my trim had gotten loose and re taped it. I think it helped the noise some.

i have that noise but it seems to be coming around the door seal at the top towards the front. it only happens when it is windy so i dont worry about it to much. doesnt leak or anything so i said i will live with it.

If you guys have bug sheilds, then to fix the noise just get some nice double sided tape.....or even some exterior glue works great anbd seal/tape, the molding around the windsheild......Another one of GM's stupid quirks.....lot's of guys have this problem......And it sounds like it coming from the door or quarter panel.....but it's the windsheild.....
