1) Is 2200 a good price too pay for a 94 z-28, 120000 miles? From the quick look i had it didnt seem too bad.

2) Which is better a 86-87 iroc-z or a 94 z-28?

That's a good price and the Z is better than the IROC imo.

Thats not neccasarily true, it depends who you talk to. The IROC is made for racing, suspension and everything. The Z28 is faster but not as good all around

IROC looks too rednecky for me. Plus it's much older, so things are gonna break down and rust up easier, if they haven't already. Not that you're not gonna have those problems on the Z28, because thats 12 years old as well. But I'd still go with a Z28, thats a steal of a price with those miles (if it's in good operating condition).

Yea i paid 1300 for a totalled 94 Z M6 with 134k miles for the swap into my first gen. If i were going to want "handling" and it was going to be a 3rd gen it'd be a 92 B4C, not an IROC.

1) Yes, good price

2) That depends on what you are looking at...LT1 engine, far surerior to the 305 or 350 TPI. The 94 is only 12 years old, much newer than the IROC's you mentioned (except for that damned optispark crap).
On the plus side for the IROC, they handled better than the 4th gens, (.89g-.91g on the skid pad) Their engines are MUCH easier to work on because it isn't halfway up under the cowl. ECM's are easy/cheap to program and parts aren't quite as espensive. did I mention the crappy optispark?...price one once.

Optispark is a bitch but i havn't had a problem with mine. PCMs for LT1's aren't that expensive and i got all the software to tune mine for under 100 bucks including the cable!

Get the LT1!!!

Do you think a 94 Z28 would handle better on turns against an IROC?

Well as seen from the autox's here third gens run quicker than the z28s. and a few ss's. Top time of the day was a 92 B4C. I'm just not much of an iroc fan...Everytime i hear that name i think of a trailerpark and a 3rd gen on bricks...I wouldn't want any camaro other than my 69 camaro...Maybe a newer LS1 as a daily driver...
