EVO8 Problems with Speedo

Hi all, first time on board. Nice to meet you all.

I have just got one small question. I have just purchased myself a Lancer Evolution 8, and I am loving it.

My problem occurred after 1 week of owership. So i thought i might seek for help here first before i take the car back to the dealer.

The speedo seems to be lacking behind speed for about 20km/hr. Say for example, I am travelling at around 100km/hr, the speedo only shows 80km/hr. I have also noticed that when the car stops at the light and when it first started to move, the speedo needle is not picking up speed until i got up to a speed of about 20km/hr.

What could this problem be?? The car was perfectly fine before, and it has only done 14000kms on the clock.

to be honest with you i would take it back to the dealer cuz thats covered under warrenty... why stress yourself if you dont have to.

yeah, make the dealship deal with that sorta thing.
