I honda 50 about 30 years ago. It was a cool little fat-wheeled dirtbike. My first street bike was a Honda CB360 (wasn't mine but I rode it a lot) and the first street bike I owned was a 1992 Katana 600.

Similar to his... 1990 Yamaha FZR600, photo below. Good bike, mine was just abused.

I think I'm taking the Aussie route... first Yamaha, now Suzuki, and looking at Honda for next.

New to these forums tonight but already sticking my :2cents: worth where I can.

Have only been riding 2 months now so still on my first bike: Suzuki FXR 150. it's been great for learning on considering i have no real experience before now. The only down side is that living in the deep south in New Zealand I've made my purchase a little too close to winter which limits my riding time (although I have been caught out by the rain more often than I would like - good learning experience though).

Brass Monkey was a couple of weekends ago and I got invited to go in a group but opted out this year (:crying:) as considering how cold and icey it tends to get most years I figured I was a little too green to go. That and being on my learners means that "legally" I can't travel faster than 70kph and it's not worth the risk of trying to keep up with the other who can go the speed limit.

Never mind.... I've got NEXT YEAR!! May have a bigger bike by then too.

Looking forward to getting to know you lot
