locking tuner lugs

I just installed a set of 17" Motegi Racing MR7's on my 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe. They look awesome! They came with closed end tuner lugs that add a nice touch. What exactly are "locking" tuner lugs, and how exactly do they "lock"? My lugs take a special wrench to install and remove them, so how are they different from locking ones? I want to protect my investment, of course, but is it worth the extra cash for different lugs?Got Rice?
