Ok, Now can you help me find the fuel pump. I'm not exactly sure where's it's located. Explain what it looks like maybe... Thanks for the reply. Sorry I don't know lots about car engines.

Well you won't be able to SEE the fuel pump as it's resides in the tank. Have someone turn your ignition on and off a few times while putting your ear next to the tank, you should hear it kick on when the ignition switch is turned on. If you don't hear it then it's time for a new one. Do you have at least a eighth of a tank and parked level?

I have over half a tank it's just under a quater full. It's parked level on a stone driveway. So the fuel pump is somewhere under the car near the gastank in the back of the car?

Over half/under a quarter????? Please take this car to a shop before you get hurt. The fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank. This means you must remove the gas safely, so you can lower the tank to get access to the pump. It is actually a simple job but does require that you pay attention to details. Especially when putting everything back together. A leak could cause a fire, and you won't know you have a leak until you get one. BOOM? (probably not)

My Boyfriend is coming from Otta to help me with my car and he knows about cars he's worked on mine. I have over half a tank of gas, under a quater of a tank FULL. Anything else I should know? Thanks!

You should be fine if he has experience. Even if he has not done this repair it is simple enough that it should be no problem.

Just one question:

What does this sentence mean? " I have over half a tank of gas, under a quater of a tank FULL" Do you realize that a half is equal to two quarters. Therefore you CANNOT be over a half AND under a quarter at the same time. Just curious.

Perhaps you mean "over a quarter and under a half", somewhere around 3/8's?????????

You wanna know if your fuel pump is shot, eh? Fine, first thing you do is check the fuse, of course. Then, from there, go under your hood. Look around the wiring on the driver's side behind the strut tower. You'll find a red wire somewhere that just appears to be loose and not attached to anything despite having a round end to it that looks like it could hold a screw. Take that wire and touch it to the positive side of your battery. If you hear a click and the whirr of the fuel going to your motor, then your fuel pump is working. If not, get yourself a manual for the car, you'll be needing to replace the fuel pump and I'm not about to type out how you do that.
