did you forget to hook up a vaccuum hose.....that's more than likely the problem.
The car idles rough and dies......that's a vaccuum leak.

Are you talking like a cold air intake or an intake manifold? Choking means running very rich, are you sure its choking?

it is a short air intake....i instaled it like u would because u have to hook up the mass air sensor to the pipe or the car wont start after i did all that i started it and when i stop at a red light the car just dies and i have to put it in park and start it back up the rpm keep giggling around from 1 to 1/2 to 0

Its possible that there is an intake leak between the MAF and the TB allowing large quanities of air in that isn't metered.
Try putting the old intake back on and see if the problem stays.

i was going through everthing agian....i found out that the air filter is a little thorn...could that be the problem???

Nope. You could run without the filter and it should be fine. (except for the dirt you'd ingest)

i put on my stock intake back on and it works fine now but what the hell is wrong with my nonstock intake f**ing pissed i just wasted my money on that s**t!!!!
