I am having problems with my A/C. The blower cuts out when I hit a bump. My mechanic is having trouble locating parts. There is one electrical part behind the glove box that we can;'t figure out what it does. It's a small red box with a computer chip inside. Any idea what this controls?

How many wires and connectors go into it? You may be looking at the blower motor speed contoller. Do two of the wires go to the blower motor? Do you have plain a/c or semi-automatic temperature control? Your problem is a loose connection somewhere in the circuit. Check the blower in-line fuse to be sure it is making a good contact in the fuse holder. There are one or two ground connections behind the dash panel on the right side that you should check for tighteness also. The right side kick panel might have to be removed to see them. I don't know if they are behind or above the kick panel. I'm looking at a 1997 electrical book but I would think a 1994 would be similar.

I have Automatic Temperature Control. Already replaced the blower motor controller. That's the black box with two plugs. This red box has two plugs also and contains a cirucit board inside. I'll check the in-line fuse, as you suggested. Thanks. I appreciate your help.
