Any tricks to remove the front motor mount

I have a 93 Continental.

Believe the motor mounts are oil filled with a mechanical internal linkage. I believe the front motor mount has lost all of its oil. When I accelerate from a stop, I see and feel the motor pull up then it hits a stop, probably the linkage at its most extended point.

The Ford service manual says the top bolt can be accessed via a long extension and 18mm swivel socket. All I can see is the exhaust manifold and air conditioning pump.

Do I need to remove any of the accessories before this job is doable?

Also, do you need the engine support tool to raise the motor or can I use a floor jack?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't help w/1993. I have the 1996 procedures posted here. (http://www24.brinkster.com/sdhartney/1996ContiEngineMount.htm) in PDF format.

Maybe that'll give you some ideas :(

Some cautions are listed, re: lifting the engine too high.
