Someone at my job is selling a 94 Accord EX Coupe (auto trans) for $2500, I know thats a pretty good price BUT the car has 240000 miles. Other than the mileage the car is in good condition and gets driven everyday. Even with the mileage so high its still a tempting offer. Im not expecting anything super out of the car. Just need it to last a year or 2. Do u think its worth it? And what components should I check on a car with so many miles?

the trans, + you really wont get much for it if you try to sell it. but its your choice.

Well if you dont want anything super or racey in it cause for one its an auto tranny, and if all u want to do is have it for a year or two it sounds like an ok deal to me. not sure what components or anything to check so maybe someone else can help you there.

Engine, Transmission and The CV Joints.
Also, i just like to check if it's running on all Cylindars,so i let the car run and pull a spark plug wire one at a time and make sure that the car's idle is really rough when one is pulled. If it doesn't change the idle.... then it's either a weak cylinder, or it's just not working properly.
just my 2 cents.

I personally know you could find better deals in my area. For $2500, you could find one with 100k in Philly or NY. You may want to check out www.autotrader.com just to see what others around you are going for. Also check out www.kbb.com to get an idea of the estimated value of the car specific to its condition and your area.
