Well, since i've been so very busy lately with school and driving and work, i figured i owed you all an update. Well, i'll start with my $2,250 in transmission work. I started hearing a chirp before it would shift, so i took it to the place i always took the Mystery Machine when it had tranny problems. They rebuilt the tranny for me for only $250 more than i initially paid for the car. I managed to squeeze $400 out of my dad for new tires. Yokohama A550's. and i kept the tire i had to buy about 2 months ago because of that damn nail in the sidewall. now the hunt is on for a wheel that it will fit on. My driver's window stopped going down again. Replaced the motor the first time, i think it's just a dirty switch this time. Time for the a/c to get fixed. This Houston heat is one thing, but add in the humidity and it's like driving around in a sauna. Radio finally died, but tape player still works. Valuable life lesson learned this weekend: hangovers are not fun. I guess that's all for now. I'm off to the Houston Auto Show later in the week. I'll bring some pics if i remember to take my camera.

The handling is better than i thought it would be. I can now safely take it over 60 without the steering wheel trying to violently free itself from my clenched fingers. I spent about 3 hours today washing, polishing, cleaning, shining, etc. the outside of the G. And now (despite all the dents, dings, bumps, chips, and the couple of key scratches) it looks beautiful. I still am having trouble getting used to the color (gold). The Mystery Machine was the most beautiful shade of green....enough recollections....Now on to the hard part...What the hell should i use to clean the leather seats, the dash, and the carpet with? any suggestions would be more than welcome. Sorry i can't seem to make any of my posts short and right to the point....
