These photos were posted on a Ford website. (passionford.com) The person who took them had a quick chat with the owner. He was told that it was the Harrods car from Le Mans and had been converted to road legal.

Surely not? But then again, I wouldnt expect the sort of person who can afford an F1 to be full of it either
I put it to you guys to unveil the truth :D

The info provided is correct. That would be GTR #06R raced by the Mach One race team owned by Moody Fayed in the 1995 & 1996 BPR series and at LeMans both years.
I had not heard that it had been made road legal, but the inclusion of a number plate and the fact that it is on public roads in those photos lends quite a bit of credibility to that statement.
Last I heard David Clark, the former marketing and sales director for McLaren Cars, was the owner of this GTR.
Great photos - thanks so much for bringing them to us.

Hmmm. But whats to say its not a replica of GTR #06R ??
Im not saying you're wrong, or even the owner is wrong, but presumably "Road legal" would be making the car to LM spec?

I'll just say that I am confident that it is #06R. mini magic may have more to add to the discussion.
Also, don't confuse a conversion for road use to being LM-spec. It's hard to say what specification the engine is tuned for at this point.

Well phooey on you then... :shakehead :p :lol2:
rr_ww - I'll put up a photo of David Clark later and you can ask the guy on the forum if the person he spoke to about the car looked anything like him.

I can tell that that pic was taken in London. Near Park Lane. There are some sweet backroads around there that you can see some REALLY nice cars in

Hey Chris-
How about this: Is there any doubt in your mind that is actually GTR #06R?
