Hey...I was wondering if someone could help me. I was driving my "03" Cavalier yesterday, no problems. This morning I go to start it, push the clutch and it won't come back up. I checked it and it's so loose it just flips back up and flips back down. I can't shift so I'm sure somethin's up, but not sure what it is. please heeeellllppp!!! Hopefully it's an easy fix

There is something definitely wrong with the linkage between the pedal and the clutch assembly. I suggest you have a mech look at it. It needs to be adjusted to specs by someone with indepth knowledge of such things. Any amount of driving the car could easily result in a suicidal clutch plate, for lack of proper engagement; or too much stick,(the latter making for some wonderful G's; but a quick clean death of the whole clutch/plate assy).

its your slave cylinder... thats how mine was when my slave cylinder went out on my 01... check under the tranny for brake fluid... and maybe inside the bell housing... but i would put 50 bucks on that being the problem

I would just take it to the dealer as an 03 should still be under warranty...but maybe that's just me.

Thanks!! That's exactly what it was. I had a feeling that's what it was, but didn't feel like doing the work...LOL. I was past the 36,000 mile warranty, but I convinced the dealership to fix it for free!!! Thanks again!!

How much did the chevy house want to charge you for it. Mine did the same exact thing just last weak, at 34,000 miles. no one seems to be able to find the part I need.
