driver's seat fire

Hi, I'm new to these forums so I hope I'm in the right place to get some advice. I have to decide between a low mileage 2001 Town and country and a high mileage 1999 Odyssey. Has anyone run into driver’s seat fire problems on Canadian market 1999 Odysseys like the driver’s seat fire on VIN 2HKRL1866XH003866? And what about any transmission problems? I intend to keep the car for a long, long time and while reliability is really important to me, so is comfort and utility for an adult and 4 children. I appreciate any help.

When you buy used, everything is a crap shoot. Everyone could recommend the Odyssey, but the one you get could be a lemon and the engine blows on you leaving the driveway. My new '92 Integra has gone 200K trouble free. Bought a used '98 Accord EX last Nov. and can't wait to get rid of it. Going with historical on the Chrysler and Honda, of course go with the Odyssey. You might pay about the same now, although Honda older and more miles, but if the Chrysler is not a GREAT buy now, you'll pay more later with the Chrysler product.
