Hi all!
It's time to wrap up another build, I hope!? Some silver leaf TS-30 going on the back part of the rear end and roof. Hopefully I don't screw it up because if I do it'll be a long time 'til you see it again. As you all can see the main theme is green, even the engine got a green hue instead of the original chevy red/orange.
Well, that's it for now. Enjoy the pics.
Oh! BTW, it's a Revell/Monogram '56 Nomad mainly built box stock which is going to have few details in the engine bay and other wheels, haven't decided what kind yet, maybe I'll go for some classic five spoke cragars or the like?

Hey that's really nice! I like it a lot.
Good luck with the paint job cos I want to se it finished soon :)
The dash detailing is awsome - is that BMF or hand painted?

Didn't know that, talk about coincidence!
Maybe I'll go there and show my green machine then.
Klutz_100:
The dash is made up of three parts and the middle one is already chromed.

I love this model, i'm actually building my second 56'. The one I built in High school was modeled after Jill Taylor's from Home improvment except her's was a 55'. Best paint job I ever did. Won second in category at my local IPMS sponsored by sikorsky.
Anyway, looks good, and good luck with the chrome trim on body, If my memory serves me correctly it was an absolute biotch!

So, I made some progress and got the silver leaf on and some basic wiring on the engine. Still needs some clear coats on the bodywork and some polishing before I'll go crazy with BMF! There is also going to be some more wiring and plumbing to do on the engine.

Looks great, though to back up the stance and the scheme, I'd do something to either replace or beef that weak-sauce stock 265ci V8.
And, by the way, those are Keystone Kustom mag wheels, not Cragar S/S's.

Yepp! I know they are Keystone's and I also wrote "...or the like" as I didn't know which one's where hiding in the treasure chest. The engine will stay as is, my intention is to brake a spell and actually finish something for a change. So no major surgery or scratch building is going on, just some details under the hood. It's supposed to look like a slightly tuned stock grossery getter.
Thanks for pointing out the rims, they are still just a mock-up to get an idea of the apperance but they'll probably stay on when finished.

WOW! How could I ever miss this one?!!! Looking great Niclas, that paint looks pretty poisonous!
Maybe itīs because you take such close pics, but I couldīnt help noticing that the engine looks a bit dusty, great job on the wiring though (itīs truly a PITA to wire an engine IMO)!
Keep up the good progress, Iīm sure that little paint accident wonīt be a problem for modeler of your caliber!

Right side finished, I took the liberty to add some additional chrome trim around the fender flares and stretched the forward one to the grill.

Yepp!
It's the box from this very model. Took a pic with the digicam and used Pagemaker to reduce the size and printed a whole A4 photo paper with different boxes, VHS, books and magazines. Just to cut them out, fold and glue where it's needed. Quite fun to those tiny little thing so put in the car. I thought that I could do the same with a Wunderbaum and get a really good looking tree to put in the mirror, just needs to buy me some new one's to photo for that project.
Thanks for the comments!

No problems, BMF = BareMetal Foil
A thin self adhesive aluminium foil to do all the bright work with. Just remember to use a very sharp blade, otherwise it will rip and wrinkle.

Made some progress on the interior details. Have been working on the grocery bag and the contents. For those of you not living in Sweden this items will look unfamiliar, but the bag is from one of the big supermarkets in Sweden, called Coop Forum and all the little things is from that place.
Tried to glue them together with paper glue and wasn't very succesfull. Have to try with super glue the next session.
Well, here goes nothing...or at least it's very small :naughty:
