alarm and stereo?

Ok, i bought my car a while ago, and it came with a pretty nice amp. I took it out thinking i would sell it and it was just amplfying the speakers, but now the speakers dont work at all, so i put it back in and i have no idea why it wont work.

In other news, my alarm does not work now either. are the two related?

???maybe??? You just have to get a meter or test light and test the power in on both the amp and the alarm.

The speakers dont work because the speakers got their signal from the amp. you can rewire the speakers to run off of your headunit though, but you might have to take off the door panels and stuff to get to the speaker and re-connect the factory speaker wires. check your fuses, you could have blew a fuse, when you took your amp out if you didnt remove the main fuse first( the one by your cars battery). good luck.
