You ladies know what I am referring to.
I don't remember, and can't be arsed to look it up. What does it do? Kill the embryo, or prevent conception? Its kinda important to me, if you know for sure, please post.
also, if it kills the embryo, is there anything a woman can take that prevents conception?

It doesn’t kill the embryo as it doesn't get that far, it just stops conception, so no need to worry. :)

We son....It's time we had the son/dad talk......
there are 2 types of pill....the contraceptive pill, which works pretty much as described by Darkness, and the 'Morning after' pill, which is basically a large dose of hormones that triggers a woman's cycle, removing any fertile material in the process.Depending on how soon it is taken after the act,it will either remove the egg before it is fertilised or remove it immediately after fertilisation.Because of the ethical issues,it is not available in some countries, and because of the risk of side effects, this method can only be used sparingly.
If you require more information, check out this site.

ah, thank you :)
Is the "morning after" pill legal in the USA? I would think not, the US being one of the more stricter countries on sex. Although, abortion is legal, so...
Thanks for answering my question. It answered alot more than just what lay on the surface....

I'm almost positive the "morning after" pill is available in the US. Infact, I believe my friend has access to it at her University's Health Office.

Yes, it's legal. You bang, give her the pill, and she barfs everywhere.
