Compiling a list of stuff for SR20

Ohh man do I feel like such a no0b asking this. Okay, heres the story...I have ~$3700 to put into the S13, and at the moment 240k miles is almost here. So Im in dire need of a motor, and Im keeping the 240 as my project car now.

So my question, what parts are minimum to get it running with an SR?
I know i need a fuel pump, some sort of intercooler, battery, intake, downpipe, bov, gauges, and new fluids. Should I buy it all seperate, or save more and get the Install kit from heavythrottle with the motor.

I can also buy an S13 blacktop clip for ~3200, which comes with transmission, driveshaft, differential, and fuel pump. If I got the clip, would I have it all, maybe minus the intercooler, to get it up to par?

Ive searched and stuff, but im obsessive compulsive I guess and just want to make sure.

And then some 18x12 with a -43 offset so I can outrun any Impala SS on the road.....hahaha. I had to.

ok keep in mind, he would still need all turbo parts with that too. And its not just 2000. Theres more to it. core charge, shipping, if wanted anything extra.

Dude, Ive asked one thing, because if I can make it go with the clip, and not have to buy anything else, or not much else, Ill be getting it VERY soon. As soon as I tell my grandad my plan, and see what I can afford for a daily driver. I like the Ka-t, but I prefer SR, because its ;|)/^\ +'/+3. Whatef. Am I all talk, no. Do I like to make sure, exactly, of what Im doing yes, excuse me.

5spd is a dying art, I think. So hold it and cherish it. I dont understand the concept of an automatic "sports like car". Such as Supras and 300zxs. Most of the people that like/afford them, can drive a 5speed.

Ya because I have an auto, Myself and slidewayz were talking and I may swap out the auto somewhere down the road. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but only if all goes well

sorry, but quick question. whats that core charge about? are they charging more money just cuz you can't send them your KA to have the parts installed?

If you can't send your block, they charge you 250$ for the block they give you.

Core charge is for the acutal engine. They want an engine in return to rebuild and sell. IF you don't supply, they charge you. A lot of parts have a core charge as well.

Read the fucking FAQ's people. These are all simply answered questions. (cept the core charge one.:p)

Back to the dudes question, here is a good site that I found helpful for my install. To give you an idea, I have probably spent about $2,000 on extra parts, and I still don't have the moter in yet! I want to have everything done right when I drop it in. I am now just waiting to get my oil pan, and my hot pipe, and pulley kit, and then it will be all ready to drop in.
