I have a 200 Hyundai Tiburon. My car stalled the other day on my way to work. I figured out it was the ECM fuse and replaced it. But it blew out again and again. I do not know if there is a short somewhere in the wiring. Please help if you have any advice. Thank you

if there isnt a short in the wiring, then its likely your ecu is toast. read up on www.hmaservice.com/webtech for some troubleshooting tips.

sounds like a relay is overloading.

Can you send us some more details? Like does anything happen before it blows that you notice, change in electronics or noises and what not. More info the easier it will be to give you some things to check. And which fuse is it exactly? Driver side box or Engine Box?

Ok I have found 1 short in the Main wiring harness. I fixed it and then it stalled again. So I'm thinking there is another short in the harness. Now here is what it does when it stalls... It starts up fine and everything sounds ok (i.e. no unsuall noises). It's whenever I drive off that it stalls and blows the ECM fuse. The fuse is in the engine fuse box. Now when the car is off I tested for cognuinty and it gives me 12volts when it should read 0 volts. My friend (who works at the Hyundai dealership) has been working on it and can't find the other short. Now he tested to make sure it wasn't the ECM. He said it is most unlikely that it isn't the ECM because the fuel relay and a couple other relays are on the same curcuit and they aren't blowing out. I'm wondering if there could be anything else that could possibly blowing my ECM fuse because I don't want to purchase a new wiring harness for $600 unless I have to. Any help or advice you could give would be most appreciated. Thx
P.S. The short is believed to be between EM03 and MC03 although we didn't see a short of any kind.

I will take a look at the wiring tomorrow, Sat. and then get back at you with any suggestions.
