'88 XJ...no wipers

I cannot find the wiper fuse on the fuse block on our Cherokee. Am I blind or what? I just replaced the ignition switch and everything works except for the wipers. I'd have to say the two are related, and was assuming I did something to blow the wiper fuse while under the dash. I have checked the entire fuse panel 4 or 5 times and not one slot is labelled wipers. For giggles I pulled each fuse and all check out fine...

Help?

wiper washer on the 88 is a circut breaker not a fuse, but is plugged in to the fuse block. It is just below the directional flasher, not the 4 way, if your FRONT washer doesn't work also, then it is brobably the breaker, 5.5 amp.

Found and fixed the problem. I must have gotten a little ham fisted while fixing the iggy switch...found the wiper module plug not seated fully.

Still runs like crap, but at least I can see again when it's raining.

Thanks.

If you have intermittant wipers, try discoin the intermittant module. It's a little "black box" drivers side velcored to the lower half of the inside of the dash...

That 'black box' being disconnected was my problem. As soon as it was plugged back in we had wipers again.
