I noticed today that I could not get air flow through my dash vents. I have a EATC and the windshield ducts and floor work fine but I can't get any air out of the dash (instrument panel) vents. If I set it to manually blow out of the vents it appears to blow out of the windshield vents. Everything works fine except for getting air out of the vents.
Suggestions? ANd where should I start looking.

My son bought a 98 taurus on Friday and the a/c was awesome. On Saturday it started the same problem as yours, no air out of the vents and no a/c. I was wondering what you found out on the problem? Please email me at [email protected] . It is odd that the problem would start all of a sudden.

I found that my problem was the vaccum hose had came off the top dash vent pod. After reattaching it worked great!
Hope you figure out your problem!

where is the top dash vent pod located? Is it behind the air bag?

It was located at the very top of the dash, under it of course, pretty much in the center but a lil towards the passenger side. It was a pain to get to.

Thanks for all the help. I think I know where you are talking about. I saw the line go up but could not follow it. I will give it a try tomorrow when my son gets home from school. It is in the 90s here during the day so i need to get this working.
