Transmissions

I've got a 93 4door 2.2L 3speed cavalier. My transmissions almost had it, and i'm trying to keep my eye out for another one for a good price. What other kinds of cars / years share the same transmission? Does the transmission have a specific model number i should look for? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, i read alot about people cleaning their EGR valves, what does this do? Should i take mine off and clean it? I need some info =P

that trans is called the 3t40 or the older name was a 125c
