I finally got one of my races on camera!

This time it was actually another mitsubishi!
It is a Mitsubishi Starion Conquest TSI with a brand new motor in it (2k miles on it) with stock turbo running 12psi. It was an auto and had a sunroom. No rust at all and jet black.
When we raced, I told him before the race that I don't launch my car hard anymore (after $6k in tranny repair bills I don't dare launching it hard anymore) so I told him that he would jump out in the lead in the beginning.
When we took off, it was on one of those roads that have the bumpies when you get close to a stop so it reminds you to slow down, well I was in the left lane, and was on those bumpies. 1/2 way through 2nd gear I felt all the bumpies, and I thought my tranny shot, so I let off the gas, and then punched it again after a few seconds. You can even hear me run over them on the video. It was dark so in the beginning you couldn't see anything, and then you could see his tail lights, then after I stopped freaking out about my car I zipped past him pretty good.
The next day (this isn't on tape) his friend (green grand am with a chip in it) wanted to race me. They told me that due to his "chip" he would smoke me. I laughed and told them that the chip is a marketing ploy, and doesn't do much. We go out to the same spot (this time in daylight, and me in the right lane) we take off (again, slipping clutch easily and letting them get in the lead in the beginning) but this time I didn't have those bumpies freaking me out, so I smoked his ass like he was standing still. I didn't shut her off until about 130. When I turned around, they were already heading in the opposite direction, and didn't stay to chat :)
Video "should" come shortly, but sometimes my camera acts up, and doesn't like to encode like it should. I will encode the section I want, but it will rewind 30 seconds before that, and try to record that instead. stupid video camera.

I got it to encode! It's doing it as we speak, I should have it up shortly.
Another thing that I forgot to mention, is that I waited about 1/2 - 1 second after my friend (the camera man) said "3" before I took off, because I didn't want them to think I jumped the gun or anything. Video soon :)

i'm a 7 year old in a 26 year old's body when it comes to our cars....i just want to throw a temper tantrum like my nephew does when he doesn't get what he wants....is that wrong?

Video is up. Remember it's dark out, so you won't see much for a few seconds, until you see his taillights, and then you'll see his headlights shortly after.

If I did a "real" vr4 launch, and didn't let off the gas, it would have been a better video, but you can tell how hard I was pulling on him after I caught back up. His car got toasted.
