Damn, that's an awesome set-up you have there. Did you just order the box and install the system yourself? Was it complicated? Cause it looks really clean. Nice!!! :)

Yes smokinvr-4 built the box for me, and I did all the wiring and installation myself. The wire install is actually the best I've ever done. I'm not picky enough to pull up the carpet and wire it beneath the whole carpet, but I do have it running incognito from behind the dash all the way to the trunk, except for one spot, right behind the cupholder thingy. From that spot to the backset (6 inches maybe?) wire runs from under the cupholder to under the seats. The wires are actually form fitted to the curves of the car, so it's not that bad really. Other than that, I have everything ran pretty nicely. The next thing on my list is to clean the inside of my car. It's getting kinda dirty.

gateway...how did you mount your headunit? i have the same exact one...and mine sits back a little further, which makes it so i can't put the headunit trim on after i put the stock radio trim in. Not a big deal...but i'm anal retentive and it does bother me a little.

Yep they are 12" Kicker L7's. No way could I fit 15's in there with the amount of airspace they require, unless I want to take my backseat out, which I don't.
It was a custom install that I used for the head unit. You have the DEH-P7500MP? I love my head unit! It's hard to explain how I did it, but I used the pioneer case that came with it, and used some pieces of metal and screwed them to the side of the stock mitsu case, then it snapped right into place, and even allowed me to still use the stock mitsu trim that goes around the whole area, then used another piece and made a pocket.

My stock trim covering doesn't have that middle piece that runs between the deck and the pocket piece that you used for your cds. Hmmm....I hope I could find a cd pocket that'll fit and look nice like that when I change my system. Gateway, did you get new speakers and so forth too? Or did you keep your stock speakers?

Infinity 63.5i fronts and Infinity 693.5i 6x9's. Got those a year ago. Got the subs about 6 months ago. Got the new box about 2 months ago. Have my old 12" dual sub box sitting in the garage. Gonna try and sell it. It's a sealed box and allows you to keep your trunk intact without gutting it.

got pics of the old box?
Slade, i actually stayed with the radio trim without the middle divider...and i happen to find a bin that fits perfectly below the aftermarket headunit. It will all depend on what headunit you get and how you mount it. Like how gateway got creative.

Did you rewire all the speakers from the orginal source behind the stock unit or were you able to take the speakers off and just redo the wires from there? I actually haven't tried taking out the stock speakers yet so yeah...

I just pulled the wires that were attached to the stock speakers and hooked that up to the new speakers.
