How to Adjust a door

Hello,

I have a 2003 Taurus SES... we bought it about a year ago, and a few days back I noticed that in a car wash, or heavy rain, the drivers front door would poor in water.

After comparing the two front doors, I noticed that the passenger front door (top) sets farther into the body than the drivers. Is there a way to adjust this??? The drivers door looks to line up perfectly with the front fender so I don't know if its really out or not. But that's the only explanation for the leakage, as the weather stripping looks brand new.

Car has just over 35K on it, and I won't be able to get it into a dealership before I hit 36K:nono:

Any suggestions??

Thanks.

You can try sitting in the seat with door open, put knees against inside of door and pull in and down on the top of door. Don't try to break the door, just try to nugde it slightly.

I had a car a few years back that I suddenly noticed the top of the frame of the driver's side window bowing out. Turned out that someone had tried to break into the car and forced a tool into the top opening and pried the frame away from the roof. I bent it back similar to the recomendation of the previous post.
