i dunno about the water temp. Dont use dish soap and deffinatly done use a towl to dry it. You want to use a microfiber cloth so it doesnt put lines in your paint. Also, dont wash or dry in circles. Go in strait lines. The only exception to that is if you are trying to remove something stuck to the paint, like a bug or tar, then only go in small cirls in that area until it is gone. Once its gone clean the entire area in one strait motion.

I use Mothers. Works great. Then I use this "shammy" (SP?) called "The Absorber" to wipe dry my car. You should be able to find both at Kragen. Don't wash your car in the sun as it'll dry too quick and leave spots. Don't let it air dry either because that'll leave ugly marks as well. I usually end up washing my car in the evening when the sun has gone down enough for me to hide in a shaded area to wash under. As far as water temp goes, I just use whatever's out there as long as the sun isn't beating down directly on the car.
