blew my engine need a new one(suggestions)

i kno ima get flamed just because i hooked up a prism but o well.welp i have a 92 geo prism modded with drifter body kit (had to be fabricated an molded on )i had custom 2 1/2 inch piping,corolla headers, intake, nos,drag chip<<ricer variable resistor to ait mod works good in a race only),took off top speed limiter.ect.well i blew my engine up racing my friends 96 maxima i was in front untill boom i see a hole in the hood.well i blew the piston out the engine when i shot nos at about 130mph.(we was racing for top speed pull away,dont remove the limiter on your engine) so now i need a new engine any recommendations.

Definately not making fun or anything, but at some point its time to throw in the towel. Doing engine swaps and replacing hoods on a Prism just in't worth it. You will put more time and money getting that thing running again than you would just buying a better car that can actually go 100 MPH. Take a look around there's tons of better performing cars for cheap. For a few grand you could find a decent 5.0 and have more potential than the geo could ever dream of, or if you are into the import scene moreso spend a little more and get a eclipse turbo or something like that.

yeah true, i didnt even know geo's could go 130 lol....but i think ur better off getting a different car capable or reach triple digit speeds without the fear of ur car blowing up

didnt happen like you said it untill i see a geo with a hole in the hood and heads blown off of a geo engine. i am no geo expert but i am pretty sure the bottom end would go LONG before you literally blew the heads off of the engine and through the hood. on top of the fact that we couldnt push a geo storm past 86mph with CAI, Custom Exaust, and limiter removed.... so im dobting some "NAWZZZZ" and w/e chip you had took a prizim to 130mph....
as for a new engine, i vote 5hp briggs, them bitces can be modded to 30+ HP with nitros and a shit load of work, either way, you'd have lots of room for a big turbo that would never spool.... :biggrin:

i really do want to see pics, i would shit my pants and then eat it if i saw a perfectly circular hole in a geo prizim and hten they poped the hood and the valve train was completely blown to pieces and you could see right through the motor and cracks in the block...
