Doorlocks and Cigarette lighter

Ok, here is a question for you all....when I bought my 94 Grand Am a year ago, everything on it worked. I made the mistake of jumping a small curb with it one day and since then the electronic door locks and the cigarette light stopped working. How and where are they connected to each other? I checked the fuses at the dash and they all look good. Where am I missing something? Thanks

The lighter and locks stopped working on my 95 some time ago, turned out to be a dime in the lighter socket, shorted things out every time i hit a large bump or took a really hard right turn. They both run on the same circuit, if there is nothing in the lighter causing it to short and the fuse is good, there is a problem between the fuse box and where the wire splits.

The horn should be on the same fuse. Maybe its in the horn. Check and see if the horn is working.

Well there is nothing in the lighter to short it out and the horn works just fine....so I guess I gotta take a few hours and trace down the wiring. Thanks guys

Do a search on chime module and that may help you.

I had a dime fall into my cigarette lighter and short my locks and of course the lighter. Turned out it was the courtesy fuse that was blown. I can't recall whether or not the interior lights worked, but I bet they didn't. Anyway, after we replaced that fuse everything worked fine. That was months ago. Now my problem is my cigarette lighter is not working because I need to replace the plug itself (the place where the found its home). The inside of the plug just broke up probably from things steadly falling inside of it. I just hope I can find the correct part. The only thing I have found on the internet so far is the electrical connector and that is not broken. I hope everyone was able to get their problems fixed. Bye for now.

Hav you checked the fuse box under the hood?

has to be a short if no fuses or relays are toast.

Good Luck, tracking electrical shits not fun :(

I forgot to mention that right now the only problem is that my cigarette lighter does not work. Everything else in the car is fine.
