Hey guys,
Well i just bought a new Tiburon 2004, and already crashed it(to much driving in the sunny weather). I live up in Canada in B.C. I have no clue what to do as this is my first crash, it was not major, no one got hurt and the car is still saveable.
As for icbc, i would like to go around them because i know they are a rip off.
heres what happend, came around a corner a little to fast, the tires yewd(When the tires are turned all the way but the car keeps going straigt). I think thats what its called, please correct me on this one. Anyways, the fron't right tire hit the curb first, it was just a low curb about 2 inchs high(Tore the rim to parts but tire still held full of air)
The tire was pushed back to the back of the wheel well so i think the strut is bent.
After that(my luck) there was a telephone pull about 1m from the curm and 2.5m infront of me, the right side hit it doing about 15km and bent it in, never reached the head light but managed to buckle the hood a bit.
All in all, it was a accident, no hight speed crashing or anything, but a few minor parts broking. Anyone have a idea what its going to cost to do it privetly, with the right connections of course.
another thing is that i got a ticket, and no cops were even around to witness it, but there was 2 people they talked to. Is there any chance of me fighting this a winning. I seem to think so but would like to here your 2cents worth.
Thanks
(price quote would be helpfull, New fron't part(like fron't body kit but stock), Hood(may go carbon fiber), Strut or anything that could be effected by the tire hitting so hard on the curb(steering, breaking and so on)

i'm guessing you dont want to go through insurance
so if i were you i would take it to a body shop see what they can do for you and how much it would be and also take it to a mechanical shop and have them check everything out with your front end and get a price on it. once you have the estimates you can see if its worth getting the hood fixed or just get the new hood and what not
as for the ticket i dont know how things work up in canada but i would fight it if i was you

anytime theres an accident, a ticket must be issued.. unless theres some other circumstances.....
its probably much more than your strut that is messed up, any damage or damage parts in your engine bay?... your cabin?
search teh car immensly... body damage? front fender/ side skirt/ front bumper damage?
i can put you incontact with someone who can get you genuine hyundai (stock) parts for you.. but if you dont knwo your way around a car, have a shop.. one you can trust or a close friend's shop, have them look at it, and let them take a look and see whats needed to be replaced....
