Help with buying bolts

Hey guys.

In the process of taking stuff off of the front of my car, I have over 100 bolts to reattach. No joke. I'd say I started to round the heads off about a quarter of them with my savage wratcheting skills. I'd like to replace the ones I messed up. I'm about at the point of putting the car back together. Pretty stoked.

In buying new bolts, I need to match size (such as 10mm), thread pitch, length, and grade. Anything else? In my town there are no hardware stores, only Home Depot and Lowes. HD and Lowes may have what I need. The only thing I was unsure on was their funny way of grading their bolts. Satan is 100+ miles away. I saw Mitsubishi Graveyard selling loose bolts by the pound online, but I'm worried about their bolt quality :)

That's a lot of info, but I have two questions. First, how critical are bolt grades? Can I just buy a bunch of HD stuff and have at it? Second, any suggestions on where to buy the right bolts?

wow...this is kind of an odd question

depending on what bolts hold what on will tell you if the grade needs to be right. for example, you don't need the strongest grade bolt to hold your headlight into place but you'll need a damn good one for the motor mounts and shit. home depot and lowes together should have everything that you're looking for, but they might be designed a little different (without the little lip on the head or the notch on the end of the threads)

Home Depot didn't have a large selection of graded bolts. The threading was just a tad off, too. I'm not sure why. Lowe's was a little more helpful, but not much. These were also new stores, built within the past year, in case that matters. I've opted to buy from Mitsubishi Graveyard, unless I hear or see of anything better than comes along.

i go to a salvage yard and im allways getting new blinging bolts from new import cars to put in my MAC box.i filled up a big gulp cup for $5.00 last week just to have them when i run into a problem.its hard to find them at lowes and home depot like you said.
