1989 ram-50 rough idle until warm

My uncle's truck was runing rough, replaced plugs and truck still running rough until engine warmed up and then idles at 1000RPM. and runs great. I'll let it cool down and same thing all over. What else do I need to check or replace? Seems like she is running rich as well. Has 127,000 miles.

2nd question..the truck is very jumpy especially over small bumps..wondering if replacing the rear shocks will improve it or is the truck just too worn out..

any help would be much appreciated...thanks in advance

Try replacing cap and rotor also, that is where I'd start with the rough idle while cold. Is it carbureted or fuel injected?

When you say "very jumpy" what exactly do you mean - does the rear end continue to bounce after going over bumps?

I replaced the cap and rotor as well...takes a few minutes of driving to finally idle nicely...

The truck jumps around after going over bumps and the front is even worse
