ok my friend is thinking about selling his 90' 325i and getting a 240. he can get an 89' for 1200. with the money he will have left over he wants to get a KA24de.
what i want to know is, is it possible to switch the head from a 91' to 93' 240 onto the block of the KA24e? is it worth doing this, or would it be more logical to go ahead and just buy a KA24de and swap it in.

You can't put the Dual cam head on the single cam block. It just doesn't work. You will have to swap the engine. Its pretty easy to swap though.
