My 1997 Chevy Tahoe with 90,000 mie, vibrates when driven at 67 mph, in the band of 65 to 70 mph. It's worse when going into a curve to the right and goes away on left hand turns. It has new Goodyear tires, and has been aligned.
Do folks have problems with front half shaft (CV joint) wear on these?

pretty tight band for vibration - Im assuming it goes away slower/faster
- check you cv boots - any cracks, splits - could be a problem
- throw it in 4x4 and see if it's worse - if it is - you've isolated the front end
- its probably in the back-end - a bad universal joint
BUT - if this just started when you changed your tires - guess what - the tires were not properly balanced - or they're crap - not unheard of that a balancer was out - check them out in a different shop if you can

I have the same problem. The tires when new work fine, but after 2000 miles, they start vibrating. The alignment checks out fine. No idea what the problem is. I was wondering if it has to do with the ball joints or a worn tie rod end or just a lousy design on the 4x4 model? This started at 47k miles and I now have 80K miles. It drives fine below 60 miles per hour.
