Info. starter removal: '87 Lebaron (MANUAL)

I'm looking at changing the starter for my 87 Lebaron. The engine is on top of the starter bolts making it hard to get to. I'd like to find some options other that removing the whole engine. Any advice?

I can't really help you unless i know what engine it has in it.
