heres a pic of one for 5,955. thats the only one so far that can afford, its in the dallas area. im thinking about flying down there to check it out. im 19 and think this would be a nice car to begin with to add some aftermarket mods to, also, neons get some good gas mileage so that wouldnt hurt to convince the parents.

We had a white one (1 of 124 made) with 42K miles at a dealer for $7K here in PA. Too bad it is $1k too much for you....

Don't finance through them and you can get it cheaper. Believe me you can get a car for hundreds or even thousands less when you wave money in their face. Be stern and don't be over anxious. They will proabably tell you they have gotten some calls about it and blah blah blah, but the fact is they haven't sold it.

A year younger and less miles, nice job. I like the colors silver and black, so either would have nice for me. I think you could have got it for 5500, but 57 isn't bad. Car looks nice and clean though. Time to start modding and if you didn't know about this website check them out. Modern Performance (http://www.modernperformance.com/) is a great website for neon products. They are down in here in Houston and are a great bunch of guys with tons of neon experience.

You know about the 2002 & UDP CEL? Thermal & borla make nice mufflers with twin tip to match the cutouts. TB, cam & PCM/switch are other options, however car is just asking to be lowered due to the big wheel well gap.

Seems like there was never a solution to resolving the issue though. Maybe putting a 2001 R/T computer in or an aftermarket will take care of the problem.

problem with udp cel? and 02 r/t? could someone elaborate, or where could i find this info out?For some reason on 2002's, when a UDP is installed it triggers a misfire code. There has been some discussion about whether or not it is due to the crank mass being smaller, increased vibration due to the lack of a rubber center, or the overall reduced weight. I haven't heard anything about 2003 and up. Keep in mind that this is with the stock computer, I don't if an aftermarket would trigger the code.

the answer I got from the engineer that designed the magnum was it is due to acceleration speed of the crank exceeded the what the software can handle (time wise). Need different code. Yes 2001 doesn't have this problem because the software only looka at 3-3500 rpm. The CEl only comes on with a high torque load above 5K or so. But you will drive there and have the light will always be on. the light will reset itself after 5 starts - If you don't trigger it again.
