98 Blazer Overheating

My 98 blazer with 160k miles started to run on the hot side anywhere from 210-235 so i tried replacing the thermostat and it continued. then i replaced the radiator and the problem got worse. while i was bleeding the coolant, the temp almost reached 260 so i shut it off. what else could be causing my overheating problem?

Replace your rad cap with something that is NOT AC Delco.

Fill the rad to the top and them run the engine with the cap off and keep on adding to the rad as the level drops when the thermostat opens.

i bought the new cap but i ran the car with the cap off, the fluids were at the top and even leaking from it a bit, but it still overheated. we even tried running the engine with no thermostat and it stilled slowly overheated, it seems like the coolant isnt circulating. even after the engine is up the temp the rad hoses are cold, shouldn't they be hot? could there be a reason why the coolant wouldnt be circulating?

Did you replace the radiator new, or did you get one from a junkyard? Are you sure you didn't install the thermostat in backwards?

Water pump may be gone.
