Engine Swap questions

I currently own a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage SE. It is the 4 door model and has the 1.5L 4G15/A engine in it. I am interested in swapping this engine with a 6G72/H Mitsubishi Diamante engine and i am wondering if this is possible to do and if so will i need a new transmission?
