Nice progress! Those are some real nice outdoor color shots. To me, that's one of those colors that looks a little better on the car than in the jar.

I figure I could maximize my limited time by working on 2 kits at once. I thrive on organized confusion :sunglasse The Scale MotorSports High-definition C/F decal is great to work with! I recommend it!:)

Heh, thanks guys:) . I cleared the hood with Testors enamel clear #2936 and polished with sanding cloths. I messed up the right side just a bit but luckily I can use my airbrush for the correction:grinyes: . I'm not sure about where else you can find this color but it's worth a try.:)

Well until I work on my anger-control issues, this project is on indefinite hold. The painting stand fell over as the clear was drying in the sun; I got really angry and I smashed it. I hate the wind.I've ordered another Skyline from HLJ; it may not be the Kid's Land version but it won't matter after I'm through with it. :icon16:

what a pain!!!! I use a huge block (2x4) of wood with 4 concrete nails setup just right to fit any 1/24 kit. you can mount a home made hanger paint stand on it too. try it!
Im sure you'll get back on this in no time.

ouch :(

i dunno if my accident with a V-Spec II was worse...where i left the car body in car paint thinner for a few minutes to take off the paint and it ate the body. LOL!

I feel your pain. I trashed a model in anger once too. It was the decals that did it in. they wouldnt listen to me. Dang decals:banghead:

KTem
04-13-2006, 05:50 AM
Damn, that sucks, it was such a good looking color. Hope you can achieve a good result next time!

By the way, I've expirienced the same before, with my first model... If I recall correctly there was a bug in the paint, so I got mad and threw the body on the floor. When I ordered a replacement, I smashed that one too because a whisker fell in it. :banghead:

Ha! Tonio on a rampage!

Come on, man, it wasn't the model's fault! I'd probably have smashed something too, but not the model! It was looking good too!

NVirkkula
04-13-2006, 07:08 AM
I would NEVER ever do anything like that to a model! Especially not to a Skyline! I have one simple rule what comes to my modelling: If you're feeling frustrated, then just stop and do something else. Messing around in anger doesn't help and accidents just happens sometimes but you should learn about them, not smash up the model! Never...
