difficulty of Sr20DET swap

i already searched this topic in the forum but I did not find it so don't hit me if it's a repost lol. I would like to know how difficult it would be to swap the S13 SR20DET into a 1992 Nissan 240SX by myself.(when I say by myself I mean without getting it done by a company but with some other friends knowledgeable in cars. This is a project for next winter. I start my automobile mechanics courses in august so I would already know more about cars plus I already have all the books so I can read them earlier. I would just like to know in terms of making the harness and other complications in getting that engine running if it is possible to do myself. I am putting teh tranny and the ECU from the S13 as well so pretty much everything in the engine bay will be for the SR20. thank you in advance!!By the way, if any of you have links to a guide in installing teh SR20 that would be nice as well because I have seen many people start putting up guides for different engine swaps.) I would also like to add that I have access to most of teh tools needed so materials should not be a problem.

its considered a bolt on mod lol. for real. I know you do have to reroute the heater hose. THe sr20 guys will tell you all you need to know on this board.

Its bolt-in short of re arranging 10 or so wires, lengthening 3 wires, ghetto rigging some heater hoses, and fitting the intercooler plumbing

to BLKComet: yeah the swap is pretty straight forward, I HIGHLY SUGGEST before place'n the Eng. that chu buy strong after market motor mounts(ex. signals or axess{capable to holdoff @ least 600~700 hp). I say this because my best friend 240sx w/s14 swap was successful, until he boost the pull 350 Whp that OEM mount was rip heehee.
So, if ur considering goin' beyond 350Whp with ur project don't cut corners, start right!!.

It is a pretty straight forward swap. Pull out the KA and put in the SR. If you have some knowledge you can do this. I did it myself at 15 years old in my back yard in the grass and it was successful. I am actually plannig on pulling it out again in 3 or 4 days and the heater hosing is quite simple just get a U bend for the one behind the engine and some heater hose and done. Also i recommend pressure testing the cooling system cause i didn't the first time and it blew leaks all over the place.

um i dunno how much is that swap package. one way to do it is to add up all that come in that package and then compare that to the price of the package or if you bought it all separate
