ok folks, its time for me to get some new tires. i have an "03" alero 2.2 ecotec 4 door. i dont have a lot of money. currently i have bfg radial t/a. they are pretty worn out. they held up pretty good. i just dont have the money for the exxact same tire. i called sears they have two tire im interested in: 1) falken ziex xe512 for roughly 63.00 and 2) kumho ECSTA hp4 for roughly 66.00. i also looked at wal-mart they had a douglas performance GT-H for roughly 64.00. this exclusively a walmart brand. please help. i also have a "93" chevy lumina for which i just purchased tires for. the previous tire were performance tires, i forgot what brand. they were on the car when i bought it 3 years ago. the that i purchased are bfg revelation, which are supposed to be performance tires however they look like performannce tires. (they like everyday driving tires) i dont need something thats extremely performance, but i want to keep the look and most of the handling on the alero pretty decent. please help thanx.

Any of the tires you listed are OK. I have Kumho tires on two of my vehicles and really like them. I purchased them from Tirerack.com. They cost me about $9 each to mount and balance. Good Luck!

Thanks For The Info, Which Ones Do You Think Would Be Better For This Vehicle?

douglas and Vanderbelt are cheep tires-quality wise. I would stay away from them. I Tried goodyears on my car and i hated them, i was sliding all over the place in the snow and rain. I see you live in Cleveland, i work at the VA hospital up there off of 105th. I live in Medina. If we have the same kinda winter we had this year next year, i would go with the bf goodrich tire or mishalin(sp). They seem to work. I have yocohoma as430 on mine. Thew were great for the bad winter we had. But they causted me 130bucks. the ones i told you about will caust you approx 85 bucks. Try NTB tire. I think there is one off 150th street. they have good deals. I hope this help you out, and waiting for your repliy.

Michelin are the best, maybe a little more costly. My daughter works with all the tire recalls. Some Goodyears are good also, check into latest recalls and tire ratings.

thanks for the replies, i ended up going to sams club and got the bf goodrich touring t/a pro series. my new questions is this- what is the difference between these tires and the original tires from the manufacturer (bf goodrich touring t/a se4)?? the tread pattern is totally different, they do look quiet beefier also. thanks
