What are some of the best mods for gaining low end horsw power? i am looking at a new exhaust 2" to 2.25" some new camshafts (stage 1) and some cam gears. i have a 4th gen lude with VTEC. i plan to get a turbo setup soon so with that and VTEC ill have plenty of high end power so I need help building the rest of my car up. thanks

Bigger exhaust diameter, longer duration cam settings; these all are attributed to top end power. To be fast in a straightline, many tuners sacrifice a flatter torque curve (read: low end) and put it all up top. Low end is really only ended to ensure smooth runs through twisties.

There are few cheap ways to increase bottom end without sacrificing top end. Many of the ways involve increasing torque values: supercharging, boring (increasing the diameter of the cylinder) and stroking.

On the low end torque is more beneficial than horsepower, and there isn't much help for our Hondas in the torque department (as posted above, forced induction and more displacement are the best methods for torque).
